12of12 | June 2016

We decided to have a down day and try to get caught up on stuff at the house, chores...

01.  Feed me....
02.  Breakfast.
03.  Laundry for days.
04.  Making homemade ice cream.  Yum!
05.  The pups approve.
06.  May snuggles.
07.  Pie for D.
08.  This love bug.
09.  Checking out the puppy pool with dad.  They aren't too sure about this big drinking bowl.
10.  Heading to grammy's house.
11.  He hit our window so we kept a close eye on him while cooking dinner.  Thankfully, he flew away after a bit.

25|52 : Drowning

Week Twenty Five
June 15, 2016

This week I began to drown.  So much being thrown at me at some many directions.  Work.  Home.  Responsibilities.  And the realness of what happened in April.  People keep telling me the same thing over and over, 'It will get better'.  But it won't.  The only reason it will get better or easier is because more time has passed.

Losing my dad in the way I lost him....it will stay with me for as long as I am living.

52 List : Twelve : Plant Flowers

We didn’t plan this year out very well.  It seemed like we went to the store to get flowers 4 times before we had enough.  The funny thing, is that we didn’t really add any other locations to put flowers.  But we got it done and the house looks so much more homier.

The dogs loved to help too!

Visits with the BFF

My bestie came to visit the first week of June.  It was a bittersweet trip.  You see, we live half way across the country from each other and we only get to see each other a few days a each year, if we're lucky.  The last time we say each other was at my wedding...she was my maid of honor.  We didn't have any date set for a 2016 reunion.

But then my dad died and she said, 'I'll be there at the funeral if you want.'  I most definitely wanted her there, but knew I would be so wrapped up in funeral/visitation planning.  So we decided to wait a month.  Things would settle down and settle in and I knew I would need her more then.  So that's what she did.  Hopped on a plane and kept me out of depression for a few days.

Thank you for always being there for me for the last 18 years!
