Week Three

January 18, 2015

I woke up on a Sunday morning needing a walk, so mom took me.  It was a beautiful, unusually warm January day and just what I needed.  I'm so thankful for her and her wisdom and encouragement.

Week Two

January 11, 2015

I've had a few rough days this month.  A lot of new and change and the unknown.  There were many days where I felt kind of empty and blurry.  Thankfully I had my best girl there with me.

01.  I forgot how rough a 6am alarm is after being 'unemployed' for the previous three weeks.
02.  Getting ready for my first day at a new job.
03.  Sunrise.
04.  Beginning a new journey.
05.  It was a busy, overwhelming day.  And at times I just wanted to cry, but I think I'll be happy here.
06.  My reward.
07.  We are all kinds of fancy at this place.
08.  Sunset and going home.
09.  Dinner and Ms. Abby.
10.  Had our monthly Junior League meeting and bagged up 250 meals for their Backpack Buddies program in just 30 minutes.
11.  Got to see the proofs from our engagement photos!  Love them!  (And him!)

Two Years

Year number two was pretty incredible in our journey, mainly because we got engaged in the fall.  We had plans to go out to dinner in KC to celebrate, but as luck would have it, I got sick the day before (and I was getting over being sick during year one).  So instead of getting dressed up and having a date with my favorite guy, remembering where it all began, we laid in bed all weekend long watching movies....when I wasn't running to the bathroom.  For better or worse, in sickness and health, right guys?

I so cannot wait to marry this guy in 257 days!

Project Life Week 48-50

Week Forty Eight | This was a very busy week. We went to see Mannheim Steamroller in concert, it was awesome!  I added an insert from the show.  I also added an insert about an article about my future Mother-In-Law.  Then the right side of the page included our Christmas tree and Thanksgiving dinner (number 2) at my parent's house.  (I didn't get any photos on Thanksgiving.  We celebrated with both sides of the family at one event.  It was great!)

Week Forty Nine | This week was the start of December.  I had a movie date with Erin for her birthday.  My family decorated the Christmas Tree.  And dad spent 3 days in the hospital fighting a fever.  (He has to go in if his temp is 101.5 or higher.)  Dakota and I also went to his work holiday party.

Week Fifty | This week included my Junior League holiday party, setting up the train, and enjoying the Christmas tree.  This week was also big because I got offered a new job.  I have accepted and started this week.

Wedding Update | 9 Months

9 MONTHS!  People, we are getting close.  The only progress we've made since last month is that my wedding dress came in and we had our engagement photos.  I am so anxious to get these photos, I can hardly stand it!  Seriously, I'm checking my email every day, all day long.  Patience Megan, patience.  

Welcome, 2015

Week One

January 2, 2015

Welcome to my fifth year of doing my 52 week project.  To be honest, I was not sure I wanted to continue this project.  There is so much going on in my life this year, a lot of new, and I also felt burned out during this project last year.  But, I also see the good that comes out of this project and so, here is the beginning of my fifth installment.  I have no idea what this year will look like, but I will get through it week by week.

Note:  Mom helped me take this photo.  (She lit my sparkler and pushed the shutter - my remote decided to stop when we got outside, must have been too cold.)  This photo took about four takes and when she saw the outcome of the first photo and saw the joy on my face she said, "Thank you for bringing so much laughter and joy to our lives."  You are so welcome mom.  Thank you for being my mom and just going with my crazy, weird ideas.  I love you.

Project Life week 44-47

Week Forty Four | This was Week in the Life.  I limited it to jut a few of my favorite photos from the week.  (About 1 a day) and then added an insert about the two big events from that week.  My dad's birthday and that I found my wedding dress!

Week Forty Seven | Some beautiful flowers, a car breakdown, and some baking.  This was a rough week in our household, there is a note below the Fear quote that discusses what is going on in our family.
