Monday

Today was a tough one. It was one of those days that just keeps kicking you down when you're already down.  

01. Me too buddy. This morning was slow to start and no one wanted to get out of bed.
02. Hoping a shower helps get the day started.
03. Breakfast together this morning.

05. Received this nice little gift.
06. Mom got locked out of her house (garage door spring broke). I was late getting to her house to help. When I got there I couldn't fix it like I though I could. Thankfully we knew where the garage door guy lived and drove to his house (he's a neighbor) and asked if he could help. He was so kind and saved the night.
07. Arrived late to my league meeting. Ended up picking up dinner for D.
08. Half of my welcome home committee. [I was certain he tore his ACL again. He was really limping (more than normal after he plays rough.) Thankfully that wasn't the case...we went to the vet the following day.]
09. 'Take a picture.'
10. She always knows when I need extra love and tonight...oh, I needed it.
11. My favorite part of December. Twinkle twinkle.

06.  Got home and cleaned the kitchen just in time to get it messy again.

10.  D and I had a little date to see Sausage Party.  Wow....that's all I can say.  Wasn't quite expecting it to go the extreme that it did.

We decided to have a down day and try to get caught up on stuff at the house, chores...

I finally had the nerve to revisit this day and to put this together.  It was very emotional.  Dad wasn't having a good day and now that April is over I know that he had 2 more better days and then his final day.  

Things definitely have not sunk in yet, but I do know that I miss him and think of my dad every single day.  I don't think that will ever go away.

07.  After work I visited dad.  I wrote this on my Instagram account... "Visiting daddy.  The best and worst part of my day all rolled into one.  I got to see him, spend some time with him, and I got to hear that today wasn't a good day for him.  He didn't sleep well last night and the mucus in his throat from the mouth sores is preventing him from allowing his pills.  He has finally lost all his hair, except for his eyebrows, and he hasn't had solid food in the last 9 days.  And then I cried all the way home."
08.  I needed time to cry and get some fresh air and clear my head.  So I visited my grandparent's grave to see if they finally got their headstone.  It wasn't there.
09.  Stopped by 5 guys to pick up dinner.
10.  These two greeted me when I got home.
11.  Rory enjoyed the new toy...aka new countertop packaging.
12.  D and his brother in law worked all night putting in our new countertops.  They look wonderful!

06.  The reason I take photos.  It's the one thing I can hang on to forever.  It's the only way my children will ever know who my grandparents were.  Pieces of paper that froze a moment in time.

01.  Mornings are rough.  These two are never far away when we get ready in the morning, but stealing a few zzzz's is sometimes needed.

04.  Lunch break stop...foot doctor.  I've been having some issues with my foot and have to have it taped for 5 days.
05.  Stopped by the house to let the pups out and grab a quick bite.

08.  Chinese for dinner for the win.
09.  It's a big deal for the pups when we come home from work.  Lots of cuddles.

11.  D played video games and I played an iPad game.  Moe found the perfect sleeping spot and May had to be close by.

This marks the completion of my 5th year doing this project. I went back and viewed all 5 years from an album I have on my fb page. This project has seen me through so much. When I first began this project I was just beginning my last semester as a college student and this month, I'm 2 months into marriage. And in between all that, this project has seen me through 2 jobs (a college student and being unemployed for a while), 2 surgeries, the passing of loved ones, traveling, one of the two transplants my dad had. It watched me fall in love, plan a wedding, and be a newlywed. It showed my 4 fur babies and how important they are to me. It documented life. My life. The days that were significant and the moments that I would have otherwise forgotten if it weren't for this project. I am forever grateful for this project. For having the last 5 years documented and for all the years I'll continue to document.  Bring it on 2016!

Fifth year complete!  Wow, I love this project.  This day was one of those productive lazy Saturdays at home.  Just what we needed.

01.  First things first, potty break.
02.  Details of our first Christmas tree.
03.  Edited some photos from a shoot I did a few weeks ago.
04.  Then worked on Christmas cards while D played video games.
05.  Mr. Rory is becoming brave and is slowly hanging out with us and the dogs.
06.  These two melt my heart.
07.  While D continued to play video games, I worked on Project Life for this year.  I completed months June-September.  I might actually have this thing done by the end of the year!
08.  He made dinner and it was yummy.  Spaghetti and sausage, one of our favorite meals.
09.  Moe decided he needed to help monitor that cake baking.
10.  December isn't complete without some twinkle.
11.  Watched Love Actually.  The pups are never too far away.

October's 12 happened on the first day of our honeymoon.  It was magical.

01.  Thankful for my dad who picked us up at 5am to drive us to the airport.  

02.  Watching the sunrise from the air was very pretty.

05.  Walked around the harbor and began documenting our honeymoon.

07.  I had just put my hand in the water and a small wave came into my shoe.  It was cold.

11.  The hotel knew it was our honeymoon so they left us a bottle of champagne the first night.  (However, I booked the hotel in my maiden name so we were Mr. and Mrs. Bailey this week.)

Bachelorette Party

01. Woke up to a cool, crisp morning in a beautiful little town.
02. The house we rented for the weekend.

05. I am so lucky to have these 8 special women in my life. Thank you so much for celebrating with me!

10. After #5, we came back to the house for a little down time. The view from the back yard was incredible.
11. We decided to stay in and order pizza.
12. And then played the funniest game of Cards Against Humanity any of us have ever played in. We went through about 3/4 of the cards. There was so much laughter, which was so needed.

What a great weekend.  I can't believe that next month will be the honeymoon!

01.  We have been running so hard lately with very little sleep.  We didn't wake up until 10:45am.

03.  Breakfast.  D gave me the funniest look when I took this photo.  I don't think he will ever get used to my camera.
